Crossroads of Life, by Zachary Stillwell

Something I have been thinking a lot about lately and I put in a poem version.
Crossroads of Life
I have realized as my life's time has gone by
Planning isn't the reason of getting through this life
Plans fall through and mistakes may be made
Like forcing yourself to work a job you hate just to get paid
A parent teaches their kid to look both ways before crossing a street
I forgot one day and got in a battle with 3,200 lbs
Well, I'll just say I got beat
Decisions are the crossroads of life and need a second look before you take the walk
I have learned now to look both ways even before I talk
when life gives you a crossroad to walk, a second look shouldn't cause fret
Being slowed down is better than doing wrong and suffering with regret.
Especially if your life is in confusion getting through a haze. It is best to do a double take when looking both ways
I will do this so life will give me more of the happiness it pays
If I do it now, when I am dieing, I won't regret my days.
